Since the second wave of Dine About Town is coming up (June 1–15), to celebrate the launch, yours truly is going to be emceeing a cooking demo with Scott Sasaki of Garibaldi’s at the upcoming Dine About Town launch party on Wednesday, June 4. The event is from the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau and The Cellar at Macy’s Union Square. With your $10 donation to Meals On Wheels, you’ll receive tastes from featured Dine About Town restaurants Asia de Cuba; Colibri; Cortez; First Crush; Garibaldi’s; Horizon; Jack Falstaff; PlumpJack Cafe; and Roots; a cooking demonstration by Scott Sasaki, executive chef of Garibaldi’s, moderated by Marcia “the tablehopper” Gagliardi; wine tastings from Cellar 360 and Wattle Creek Winery, and a keepsake “Only in San Francisco” wine glass. Space is limited, so reserve your ticket now. $10. 6pm–8pm.
