With over 50 categories in all, Greenopia makes it easy for consumers to buy green and buy local while creating a healthier lifestyle for themselves, their families, and the planet. |

First launched as a printed business directory on Earth Day in L.A. in 2006, followed by S.F. in 2007 and N.Y.C in 2008, Greenopia has taken its expert research and rating system to the Internet, creating a directory of over 10,000 green businesses in 55 cities across the country. Greenopia sets itself apart from other green directories and listing sites by independently researching and evaluating every single business listed in the directory to ensure that it meets Greenopia’s stringent standards. To avoid potential greenwashing, businesses are not allowed to pay to be included in the directory.
