Scott Moriyama joins the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau as director of human resources and administration

Scott_MoriyamaOctober 15, 2009- Scott Moriyama has been named director of human resources and administration for the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau (SFCVB).  In his new position, Moriyama will manage all aspects of employee relations providing administration services support to the Bureau departments and staff, and developing and managing overall human resources services, policies and programs for the SFCVB.

“Scott’s human resource and administration experience will enhance the Bureau’s business leadership and practices,” said Tina Wu, chief financial officer, SFCVB. “He has had a lot of experience working with diverse employee bases and feels one of his strengths is employee relations and gaining credibility for human resources at all levels.”

Prior to joining the SFCVB, Moriyama worked as the vice president/senior human resources consultant for Wells Fargo Bank. He has also worked for Quicknet Technologies, Field Research Corporation, and City Bank, Honolulu, as director of human resources.

Moriyama holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
