The SFCVB Foundation

The SFCVB Foundation was founded in May 2003 with a leadership gift from past Bureau Chairman Robert Werbe. The Foundation is a separate, but affiliated, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization created to prepare future industry leaders by providing scholarships to local students enrolled in hospitality management programs at local colleges and universities, and to present visitor-industry related educational programs to the community.

The Foundation accepts tax-deductible donations from individuals, businesses, organizations, and other foundations.

Objective:

The organization provides funding, services, and programs to:

      • Provide scholarships and study grants
      • Sponsor and promote community and industry educational opportunities

The Foundation's programs and any contributions or grants it makes are directed toward charitable and education activities supportive of the travel and hospitality industries, particularly in San Francisco.
