    Get ready to step up to the mic!

    Although “American Idol” tryouts are still a few months away, start rehearsing now at Maria Maria every Monday night from 8:30pm – midnight. John Korty will play host for the evening and both vocal and acoustic artists are encouraged to belt out their best tunes during a 10 minute set.

    If you are not a self-proclaimed songbird or still suffer from stage fright, come in on Wednesdays for trivia night beginning at 7:30pm. First place trivia winners will earn a $75 gift card, which will more than cover Maria Maria’s signature margaritas and munchies.

    Embarcadero Center is brightening the holidays this Friday with their Annual Tree Lighting + Winter Wonderland; a perfect event to share with the family.

    At the Holiday Ice Rink, theyll feature a host of fun activities for the kids, including Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy, plus performances by local musicians brought to you by 102.1 KDFC, and a spectacular fireworks finale. But thats not all, after the Embarcadero Building Lighting, stroll inside the Hyatt Regency for their traditional Tree Lighting, with performances from Wicked and The Lollipop Guild, and guests from San Francisco Ballets Nutcracker, the Velveteen Rabbit, and Scrooge himself from A.C.T.s A Christmas Carol.

    Guests will receive 4 hours of free parking starting at 4pm.

But of course, the main attraction will be the Kalua Pig marinated in orange, garlic, and oregano.     LarkCreekSteak, Westfield San Francisco Centre’s popular farm-to-table restaurant, will open its doors for the first time on Thanksgiving Day. A special prix fixe three-course menu with multiple options will be offered, highlighting the regions bountiful array of top quality producers. For starters, guests can choose from a Little Gem Wedge, Sonoma Liberty Duck Terrine or Roasted Pumpkin and Hazelnut Soup. Entrees include Roast Turkey with Fennel Sausage Cornbread Stuffing, Certified Angus Prime Rib or Wood-Grilled “Fresh Fish.” Guests will be delighted with traditional dessert offerings like Old Fashioned Pumpkin Pie, Bread Pudding or Apple-Cranberry Crisp.

    Seatings from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The price is $49 per person, $24 for children under 10; & no charge for children 3 and under.

    Diners can take any entrée and make it into a three-course meal between 4pm until closing, 7-days-a-week. For an additional $8.50, choose between eight appetizers, including house made New England Style Clam Chowder, Local Bay Shrimp Cocktail, Alioto’s Fried Calamari or Fried Bay Shrimp, Baked Stuffed Artichoke with Sicilian breadcrumbs, Organic Green Salad, Baked Clams with Sicilian Breadcrumbs, or Dungeness Crab Mornay.
